Forgevale - the early days
Years of showing and breeding dogs
Wire Fox Terriers were the basis of Forgevale. Starting with two litter mates from Crossguns.
Crossguns Symblem and Crossguns Hercules. These two were based on stock from Henry Hingle of the Easternvale Kennels and descend from Ch Harrowhill Huntsman who was bred, owned and shown by the late, great Miss Evelyn Howles, Huntsman being Best in Show (BS) at Crufts in 1978.

The breeding history
In ???? Cross Symblem was mated to CH Cwmgarws Joint Venture owened, bred and handled by Helen Frizzell. Nothing of significance resulted from this mating and as result in Cwmgarws Lady Kate was bought from Helen.
Kate had a modicum of success winning ???
In 19?? Kate was mated to CH Sceftsbr Consul at Travella resulting in two pups who entered the show ring- Forgevale Discovery and Forgevale Victory of Travella.
Victory was piloted to 2 CC's in the UK before making the long journey to Russia where he can be found behind a lot of stock.
Although she lived at Forgevale and was groomed and schooled there Forgevale Discovery was piloted in the ring by Paul Wilkinson, where she gained two reserve CC's.
